2013 Apple Picking Season Outlook

2013 Apple Picking Season Outlook

Posted by Jarrett Webster on

Last year was a tough one for McHenry County and Illinois apple orchards due to the severe drought. As a result, like many other orchards we were unable to offer apple picking. Fortunately, it looks like this year’s apple picking season will be a different story! Our apples have been progressing well and we are expecting a fantastic apple picking season.

Although the orchard is currently closed, there’s been a flurry of activity these past few months to get things in place for our opening weekend on August 31st. Our pumpkin patch has been planted, the corn maze has been planted and designed, we’re thinking up new family fun activities and we’re even experimenting with our Country Kitchen and bakery offerings.

Stay tuned and get ready to pick apples, pumpkins and run through our corn maze because we have a great 2013 season planned for you!
