Field Trips at All Seasons Orchard

Posted by Jarrett Webster on

We look forward to the fall not only for the start of apple season but also because it’s the start of school field trip season as well! Each year we welcome students and teachers from pre-schools and elementary schools from all over McHenry County and other neighboring counties for a fun and educational tour of our apple orchard, pumpkin patch or corn maze.

Children learn about the lifecycle of apples, pumpkins and corn at our outdoor classroom which includes an observation bee hive. Afterwards, they take a wagon ride for more hands on experience at the apple orchard or pumpkin patch where they can go apple and pumpkin picking. Students learning navigation and teamwork skills have a great time at the corn maze where they can work together to successfully get to the end of the maze.

After all the learning, students will have ample time to play at our barnyard activity area which includes a petting zoo. And of course no trip to the orchard is complete without sampling our cider and our mouthwatering apple cider donuts!
